Sur les chemins de l'été

Par des chemins sans nom j'allais

La tête encombrée de vieux rêves

L'hiver avait clos ses volets

Et dans les bois chantait la sève

Là-bas dans les vertes prairies

On entendait au clair ruisseau

Courant parmi l'herbe fleurie

Le tendre cliquetis de l'eau

Au ciel d'été l'air était bleu

Et le soleil dans les cheveux

Faisait briller des vagues d'or

Le soir quand tombait la nuit brune

Sur les étangs noirs de flots morts

S'effeuillait doucement la lune.
